A free form piece of Chiapas Amber set with a silver gallery strip surround in a design loosely based on forms of jewellery seen in the Museums of Pre-Colombian art in Central and southern Latin America. This piece of Amber (25mm x 40mm) from the jungle regions of southern Mexico, retains its original shape and has been left intentionally unpolished on the bottom, to create a greater interplay of light within the stone. Topped with a 60mm length of silver tubing with matching decoration it runs freely on a 17 inch medium (3mm) solid Byzantine silver chain with a secure “S” hook fastener. (NOTE… this pendant is sold with this chain only).
This piece has been hallmarked by the London Assay Office.
